Restaurant order app will not open or sign in? Protect orders before troubleshooting

“The order app will not open. What happens to orders already accepted?” Write down visible order numbers and progress before reinstalling anything. Avoid repeatedly guessing a password or resetting the tablet until you know which part failed.

This guide is for restaurant order devices in Japan. Steps vary by platform and device contract. We checked Uber Eats’ official merchant device recovery guide on 25 October 2026. Uber Eats.

Record accepted orders → check whether the store is online → separate network, app and sign-in faults → contact the provider

Keep accepted orders under control

If another device or dashboard shows the orders, assign one person to handle each order. A frozen app does not prove an order disappeared. If you cannot confirm whether new orders are arriving, ask merchant support how to pause intake safely.

Before an update, reinstall or web fallback

Uber Eats describes installing its official order app from Google Play on Android and signing in. Check whether your device and contract follow that route. A factory reset can remove saved information: confirm accepted orders and recovery details first, then follow device-provider instructions. The web order manager may require its tab to stay open and may lack sounds or printer connection. Test orders, alerts and printing separately after switching.

Before buying another tablet

For a provider-supplied device, ask about replacement and supported models. For your own device, compare OS support, alerts, printer compatibility, connection method, support and recurring cost. A new tablet alone may not solve an account problem.
