Uber Eats tablet not receiving orders? Check hours, pause status and Wi-Fi

Your restaurant is open, but no Uber Eats orders are appearing on the tablet. Is it simply a quiet period, or has the store stopped receiving orders? Check the store’s availability before blaming the device. The steps below help you separate operating hours, a paused order queue, and a connection problem. Menu names can vary by country, device and app version, so use your current merchant dashboard and local support for the final decision.

A first check you can do in a few minutes

1. Hours2. Paused?3. App and Wi-Fi4. Support
A decision guide, not an official app screen. Low order volume and an inability to receive orders are different issues.

Check today’s hours. Compare your usual hours, any special hours and temporary closure settings with the time you expect to accept delivery orders. A restaurant can be open to walk-in customers while its delivery listing is closed. Uber’s merchant help names being online outside the restaurant’s normal Uber Eats hours as a likely cause of a tablet not accepting orders.

Check whether orders are paused. Look for a pause, offline message or other availability warning in the current merchant interface. Uber says the Orders app can pause incoming orders after several unaccepted orders, prolonged offline time or unusually slow acceptance that leads to cancellations. If a reason appears, write it down before changing settings. Do not extend hours as a workaround for a paused account.

Check the app and connection. Confirm the order app is signed in, visible in the foreground and connected to working Wi-Fi. The official help suggests restarting the device and signing in again when the restaurant is within its operating hours. First check whether any orders are waiting for action. If another device in the store also cannot connect, investigate the network; if only the order tablet is affected, inspect that device and its app. Follow current device-specific instructions rather than an older button sequence.

What does the symptom tell you?

What you see Check first Next step
Outside operating hours Today’s schedule and special hours Compare the listing with the store’s real hours
Paused or offline Displayed reason and network Record the message, then follow the current recovery guidance
Online, but no notification App sign-in, foreground status and Wi-Fi Check pending orders before restarting anything
No warning, simply fewer orders Menu availability and the customer-facing listing Do not assume a technical outage without more evidence

This table is an initial triage tool. If your actual dashboard displays a different instruction, follow the current official merchant guidance.

When should you contact support?

When and which store → Exact message → Hours and pause status → Connection checks
A simple support note. Never send a password or one-time code to an unverified contact.

If the store should be taking orders but the problem remains, contact support through the merchant dashboard. Share the time the issue started, the exact status shown, and what you checked. It is fine to say that you cannot yet tell whether demand is low or orders are blocked. Ask support to confirm the store’s live receiving status.

Worried about explaining the issue in Japanese? Ask the official support channel whether you may describe it in your own language, and whether help in that language is available. Availability is not guaranteed. A short written timeline and the words shown on screen can make the issue easier to explain in any language.
